How to Use?

How to Use Shikakai Powder for Hair

1. Shikakai as a Natural Shampoo
Prepare the Paste:
Mix 2-3 tablespoons of shikakai powder with warm water to form a smooth paste.
Optional: You can add a tablespoon of amla powder or reetha powder for enhanced cleansing and nourishment.
Application:
Wet your hair and apply the paste to your scalp and hair, massaging gently in circular motions.
Ensure the paste covers the entire scalp and hair length.
Leave On:
Allow the paste to sit for 5-10 minutes to cleanse the hair and scalp.
Rinse:
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. You may need to rinse a couple of times to remove all the paste.

2. Shikakai Hair Mask for Conditioning
Prepare the Mask:
Mix 2-3 tablespoons of shikakai powder with yogurt, aloe vera gel, or coconut oil to form a thick paste.
Optional: Add 1 teaspoon of honey, Amla & Aritha powder for added moisture.
Application:
Apply the mask evenly to your hair, starting from the roots to the tips.
Massage gently into the scalp to improve circulation.
Leave On:
Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes to condition and nourish your hair.
Rinse:
Wash thoroughly with lukewarm water and a Ayumi shampoo, if necessary.

3. Shikakai for Hair Growth and Scalp Health
Prepare the Paste:
Mix shikakai powder with water or coconut oil to form a paste.
Application:
Apply the paste directly to the scalp, massaging gently to stimulate blood circulation and promote hair growth.
Leave On:
Leave for 30 minutes to an hour, allowing it to nourish the scalp.
Rinse:
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Frequency
Shampoo: Use 1-2 times a week for gentle cleansing.
Hair Mask: Apply 1-2 times a week for conditioning and strengthening.
